When we think of physical health, many of us think about long hours at the gym or running around the sidewalks of our neighborhood. While those are not bad in and of themselves, they are a limited sight of the bigger picture of what physical health is. There are many paths to physical health, and finding what works for you is what is most important. Dancing, walking the dog, hiking, gardening, and farm chores can all be great examples of physical activity. The main point is that we are moving, getting away from a sedentary lifestyle. Along with getting the activity that we need, many of the outdoor activities can also double as time outside in the sun. The sun gives all living things life, and we need exposure to synthesize vitamin D, one of the most important nutrients needed for a healthy body.
